Mobile West Africa 2014 brings world’s most influential mobile expert to Nigeria next month

Tomi Ahonen, the man measured by Forbesas the world’s most influential expert in mobile, will be taking to the stage and sharing his esteemed vision of the future of mobile at the Mobile West Africa 2014 conference, taking place in Lagos on 13-16 May at the Four Points by Sheraton on Victoria Island. Mr. Ahonen will also deliver a dedicated full-day workshopon Friday, 16 May titled “How to make money in mobile”. Additionally, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, considered as the key figure in bringing about the mobile data revolution in Nigeria, will be presenting his perspective during the keynote session. Mr. Ahonen and Dr. Ndukwe will be joined by senior industry pundits including the CEO & MD of Airtel Nigeria, the Founder of SPARK and iROKO Partners, and representatives from Nokia, DSTV Digital Media, Nigerian Breweries, PZ Cussons and Praekelt. Organisations such as Eskimi, VConnect, Co-Creation Hub, MTech, ConnectNigeria, SureGifts, and TomTom Africa have pledged their early commitment to the conference, which is regarded as the leading technology event in West Africa, and delegate tickets are selling quickly. Event founder Matthew Dawes commented “When we first debuted Mobile West Africa way back in February 2011 it was a different era. West Africa’s smartphone penetration was low, Nigeria’s first incubation space (CcHUB) was yet to be launched, the eCommerce boom was still years away, and mobile money was far from reality. It has been a remarkable few years and I would hope that in some way the event has contributed to that growth. I want MWA2014 to be a joyride – celebrating past successes, critically analysing the industry’s future direction and opportunities, and to again be the conference to come and do business at. Having the likes of Tomi Ahonen and Dr. Ndukwe confirmed signifies our intent to further cement the event’s position as the best in the region.” Mobile West Africa, the West African edition of the most progressive and interactive mobile focused events in Sub-Saharan Africa, is primed to once again be the leading mobile focused conference in the region this year. ### About All Amber All Amber was founded in 2009 by Matthew Dawes to produce interactive, discussion-based events specifically aimed at high-level strategists in mobile technology across Dates:May 13 to 16, 2014 *.Mobile Marketing West Africa Focus Day: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 *.Main Conference: May 14 & 15, 2014 *.Tomi Ahonen Workshop: Friday, May 16, 2014 Venue:Four Points by Sheraton, Lagos, Nigeria ( http://www.fourpointslagos.com) Website: http://mobilewestafrica.com Speakers include: *.Dr Ernest Ndukwe, Chairman, Openmedia Group *.Segun Ogunsanya, CEO & MD, Airtel Nigeria *.Jason Njoku, Founder, iROKO Partners | SPARK *.Tomi Davies, CEO, TVCLabs *.Debbie Shepard, Head of Marketing – West Africa, Nokia *.Gustav Praekelt, Founder, Praekelt Foundation *.Tomiwa Aladekomo, Senior Digital Manager, Nigerian Breweries *.Graeme Cumming, General Manger: VOD and Sport Portals, DSTV Digital Media *.‘Bosun Tijani, CEO, Co-Creation Hub *.Stephen Boadi, Head of Digital Marketing – Africa, PZ Cussons Cost: *.$850 for main two-day conference *.$1,100 for conference and Tomi Ahonen Workshop OR Mobile Marketing Focus Day *.$1,250 for conference, Tomi Ahonen Workshop and Mobile Marketing Focus Day Email: comms@allamber.co.uk Tel: +44 1376 521 170
